The Criminal Lawyers' Association is one of the largest
specialty legal organizations in Canada. Comprised of about 1,000 members,
including associate members from across Canada, the association shows
strong membership growth annually. For the Defence: the association
Newsletter published regularly since 1974 is a strong voice for criminal
lawyers and everyone concerned with the quality of criminal justice.
Articles feature the various perspectives of criminal law experts in
plain language, on the most talked about topics of the day. For
the Defence is a critical current awareness publication for the
