LexisNexis® Cares

Book Aid International

LexisNexis employees in our London office pitched in to help Book Aid International clean and paint their south London warehouse. Book Aid was established in 1954 to respond to the huge overseas demand for books and journals in countries where education is an unaffordable luxury. The constant deliveries to the warehouse bring in dust, dirt and damp which put the books at risk. By cleaning and painting the shelves and walls, LexisNexis employees helped protect the books and improved the conditions for the eight staff working in the warehouse full time.

LexisNexis provides ongoing support for Book Aid International by donating books that are about to be wasted, either directly from our warehouse or from departments who are having a clear out. Our books are sent to the common law countries of Africa where they are used by students in police colleges, by judges and in community libraries.
