Heather Meredith is a partner at McCarthy Tétrault in the Bankruptcy & Restructuring Group in Toronto. She practices in the areas of bankruptcy, insolvency, restructuring, and commercial litigation, representing a broad array of stakeholder groups in commercial restructuring proceedings including debtors, secured creditors, landlords, suppliers, monitors, trustees and receivers.

Heather Meredith is a partner at McCarthy Tétrault in the Bankruptcy & Restructuring Group in Toronto. She practices in the areas of bankruptcy, insolvency, restructuring, and commercial litigation, representing a broad array of stakeholder groups in commercial restructuring proceedings including debtors, secured creditors, landlords, suppliers, monitors, trustees and receivers.

Ms. Meredith is the author of several papers in the insolvency and restructuring field including Expedited Debt Restructuring in Canada (Banking and Finance Law Review with Kevin McElcheran).

Prior to joining the Bankruptcy and Restructuring Group in 2008, Ms. Meredith had a general litigation practice at McCarthy Tétrault with a focus on commercial litigation and professional liability defence. Ms. Meredith also served as prosecutor at the Discipline Committee of the Ontario College of Teachers.

Ms. Meredith is active within the firm with student recruitment, mentoring, and the firm's Diversity Committee for which she organizes the annual Toronto International Film Festival business development event. Ms. Meredith is also a strong supporter of the firm's United Way Campaign for which she has served as co-chair and assists with organizing and executing the "Signature Event" in the campaign each year.
