Aaron Kreaden is an associate practising in the Litigation & Dispute Resolution Group. He has a broad civil litigation practice, which includes corporate-commercial litigation, complex negligence (professional and otherwise), directors' and officers' liability, class actions, and product liability. He has appeared at the Supreme Court of Canada on multiple occasions, as well as various levels of court in Ontario, British Columbia, Alberta and Nova Scotia.

  • Deloitte v. Livent Inc. (Receiver of), 2017 SCC 3 – counsel for the Special Receiver at trial, the Ontario Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court of Canada in what is now the leading case in auditors’ negligence in Canada.
  • White Burgess Langille Inman v. Haliburton Co., 2015 SCC 3 – counsel for WBLI at first instance, Court of Appeal, and the Supreme Court of Canada on a leading case on the independence of experts.
  • Saadati v. Moorhead, 2017 SCC 28 – counsel for the intervenor, Insurance Bureau of Canada.
  • International Offtake v. Incryptex, 2016 ONSC 4793 and 2017 ONSC 7537 – counsel for the plaintiffs in defending against both a motion for summary judgment and a motion to modify a mareva injunction.
  • Central Gold Trust v. Sprott Asset Management, 2015 ONSC 4888 – counsel for Sprott Asset Management in application involving a contested takeover bid.
