Adam has advised banks, financial institutions, asset based lenders, hedge funds, borrowers, directors and officers, customers, unsecured creditors and suppliers in domestic and cross-border restructuring proceedings, including Air Canada, Stelco, Roman Corporation, Ivaco, Spiegel (Eddie Bauer), Pliant Corporation, Quebecor World Inc. (now World Colour Press), Nortel, Canwest Media Inc., Canwest Limited Partnership and Crystallex International Corporation.

Adam regularly advises court appointed receivers, trustees in bankruptcy, monitors and purchasers of distressed assets. Adam has written and spoken about recent amendments to the BIA and CCAA in relation to Eligible Financial Contracts debtor in possession financing, governance, distressed investing and other matters. Adam is a co-chair of a task force developing a model asset purchase agreement for the Business Bankruptcy Committee of the American Bar Association.
