Prior to joining Bennett Jones, Andrew practiced as an associate and a partner at a major Canadian business firm. Andrew specializes in mining operations and railway transportation law. In the railway transportation area, he has worked with numerous shippers and carriers negotiating long-term transportation agreements. In the mining sector, his practice focuses on operational matters including logistics, shipping, the acquisition and disposition of mining rights, and royalty and option matters.

He has expertise in mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, complex restructurings and corporate governance, and regularly advises clients in multiple industry sectors in these matters.

Andrew spent 4 years in Blakes' Beijing office, where he gained considerable experience with respect to the establishment and operation of international joint ventures. He has advised numerous Canadian, U.S. and European clients on foreign direct investment into China.
