Tony Vecchio, together with Mike Slater, founded Slater Vecchio LLP in January 1998. The majority of Tony's practice is focused on personal injury law, including cases involving traumatic brain injury and significant orthopedic, spinal and psychological injuries resulting from car, motorcycle and bicycle accidents as well as slips and falls and assaults in commercial and residential premises.
Tony has been counsel on some of the largest cases in British Columbia. He is engaged and retained routinely on cases involving serious and often complicated and catastrophic injuries. Tony is a frequent lecturer, speaker and host of seminars dealing with personal injury trial techniques and the development of skillful trial paths.
Tony was appointed to Queen's Counsel in 2012 and has been selected by his peers to be included in the publication The Best Lawyers in Canada in the field of personal injury litigation since 2006. Tony was a Governor and State Delegate for the Trial Lawyers Association of British Columbia and acted as President from 2000 to 2001. He was also a former State Delegate for the American Association of Justice. In 2012, he became a Fellow of the International Academy of Trial Lawyers and in 2013 became a Fellow of the International Society of Barristers.
