Deby Ko

Deby is the Content Lawyer for the Family Law Module of Lexis Practice Advisor Canada. Prior to joining LexisNexis, she practiced in family law at MacDonald & Partners LLP, in Toronto, Ontario. Her practice encompassed all issues of family law, including custody, parenting, child support, spousal support and property division. She is fluent in Cantonese and has consulted clients in English and Cantonese.

Deby is the Content Lawyer for the Family Law Module of Lexis Practice Advisor Canada. She holds degrees from Schulich School of Business, York University (International Bachelor of Business Administration with Honours) and Queen’s University (Juris Doctor).

At Schulich School of Business, she studied abroad for one year at Warwick Business School in the United Kingdom. She was exposed to global perspectives and industries. At Queen’s University, Deby served as a student caseworker at the Queen’s Family Law Clinic, providing legal services to the community of Kingston. She also participated in the Walsh Family Law Negotiation Competition.

In addition to her family law experience, Deby has experience in the public sector, having worked as a student intern at the Department of Justice while completing her law degree.
