Eden is an Estates Lawyer with Nelligan O’Brien Payne LLP. She has represented clients in court in litigation involving estates including will challenges, power of attorney disputes, claims in unjust enrichment and passing of fiduciary accounts. Eden drafts wills, trusts and powers of attorney and advises clients on estate planning. Eden also advises estate trustees and beneficiaries after the death of a loved one.
Eden is an estates lawyer with experience in estate planning, administration and litigation.
She has experience with both the drafting and administration of estate plans, as well as the litigation that can arise in relation to, among other matters, the interpretation of wills, claims by dependents, claims by beneficiaries, the compensation of trustees and executors, the variation of trusts, and the removal and replacement of trustees.
Eden is an affiliate member of the Society of Trusts and Estates practitioners and is active in writing and speaking on estates issues of importance to clients and practitioners.
Eden practiced at a large regional firm in southeastern Ontario for 6 years before joining Nelligan O’Brien Payne LLP in 2019.
She articled for the Public Interest Advocacy Centre in Ottawa, co-publishing a report on consumer interests in the wireless industry.
While is law school, Eden was co-editor-in-chief of the Saskatchewan Law Review in 2009–2010. Prior to that, she received the Borden Ladner Gervais Research Fellowship, during which time she co-authored an academic journal article on the importance of legal ethics and professional responsibility education in Canadian law schools.
