Eme has acted as lead counsel on significant investment grade bond offerings, IPOs and debt and equity transactions at the Toronto office of a major US law firm as well as at a Canadian firm. In her role at DBRS, she helps credit analysts in their understanding of legal documentation, risk and structure. In all matters, Eme applies her deep knowledge of securities and business law and brings a pragmatic approach to drafting documents, negotiating deals or educating financial analysts and meeting client needs.

Prior to entering law school, Eme managed a team of 10 shelter staff responsible for 24/7 operations of Inn from the Cold, a family homeless shelter that houses up to 100 clients. As part of the team responsible for opening the shelter in 2008, Eme was responsible for developing working protocols and ensuring sustainability through fundraising initiatives.
