Entering his 9th year as a business coach specializing in the legal industry, Gary works with managing partners, partners, associates and law clerks. His clients come from across Canada and from large and small firms, covering numerous practice areas and at various stages in their careers. Gary has a thorough understanding of the legal industry and the challenges lawyers face with business development and has designed his coaching program with that knowledge.

He is the first and, to-date, only lawyer coach in Canada to have a book published on business development for lawyers, Raindance: The Business Development Guidebook for Lawyers (Toronto: Carswell, 2012). In September 2014, he had his second book published, Raindance II: A Blueprint for Growing Your Practice (Toronto: Carswell, 2014). He is frequently called upon to speak at legal conferences and events. Gary writes a monthly column on marketing and business development for The Lawyers Weekly, entitled "The Coach".

Gary is deeply passionate about helping lawyers and law firms think differently about the business of law and to capitalize on the opportunities that exist in this ever-changing and challenging economy.

As a Coach, Gary takes a very practical, tactical and down-to-earth approach. His clients feed off of his entrepreneurial energy and drive and appreciate his "street smarts". They value his timely and frank advice. When you work with Gary, you will recognize his tenacity and focus on you and your results. And while there is certainly a structured curriculum Gary follows, he is able to tailor his coaching to exactly meet your individual needs, in the moment.
