Gemma acts for banks, trust companies and private lenders in debt enforcement, foreclosure and receivership matters. She is a frequent contributor to scholarly publications in the field of insolvency law. She has contributed chapters to a variety of legal texts annually since 2011, including the Annual Review of Law & Practice (Vancouver: The Continuing Legal Education Society of B.C., 2015) and the Creditors' Remedies Annotated Guide (Vancouver: The Continuing Legal Education Society of B.C., 2013).

Gemma has represented clients at all levels of court in British Columbia including the British Columbia Court of Appeal.
