Gilead Kay studied law at Osgoode Hall Law School after obtaining his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto. Following his call to the bar in 1996 he became a founding partner with the law firm Zinati Kay. Zinati Kay practices primarily in the areas of Real Estate and Family Law.

Gilead Kay studied law at Osgoode Hall Law School after obtaining his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto. Following his call to the bar in 1996 he became a founding partner with the law firm Zinati Kay. Zinati Kay practices primarily in the areas of Real Estate and Family Law.

He began his legal career working for the Family Responsibility Office as an articling student. Since then he has handled thousands of cases on behalf of the Family Responsibility Office, both as counsel for the Family Responsibility Office in Toronto and as Payor's Counsel. He has appeared as counsel for the Family Responsibility Office throughout Southern Ontario and the Greater Toronto Area and has appeared as its counsel before the Court of Appeal.

Gilead Kay also has an extensive practice in the area of child protection and child advocacy and is panel member with the Office of the Children's Lawyer. He has also been a presenter and speaker at Continuing Legal Education programs focused on the Family Responsibility Office and Child Protection law.
