Heather obtained her J.D. from Queens University in 2003 and was called to the Ontario Bar in 2004. Heather practiced for over a decade at a leading intellectual property firm prior to joining LexisNexis.

Heather obtained her J.D. from Queens University in 2003 and was called to the Ontario Bar in 2004. Prior to joining LexisNexis, Heather practiced at a leading intellectual property firm in Toronto and was exposed to many different practice areas, including trademark prosecution, marketing and advertising law, providing advice on pharmaceutical regulatory matters, litigation, and privacy law.

In law school, Heather was the President of the Intellectual Property and Information Technology Association and a member of the Corporate Law Competitive Moot team.
