Jean Hyndman was called to the Bar in April 1984 and, after a 4-year stint in a community legal aid clinic, has practiced family and child protection law as a sole practitioner since November 1989. She represents parents, mostly on Legal Aid Certificates, and children, as a member of the Office of the Children's Lawyer panel since 2006.

Jean Hyndman was called to the Bar in April 1984 and, after a 4-year stint in a community legal aid clinic, has practiced family and child protection law as a sole practitioner since November 1989. She represents parents, mostly on Legal Aid Certificates, and children, as a member of the Office of the Children's Lawyer panel since 2006.

Ms. Hyndman practices primarily in the Ontario Court of Justice with some work in the Superior Court of Justice and one successful appearance in the Court of Appeal. In March 2012, She participated as a presenter at a program about access issues through the 47 Sheppard Education Committee. In January 2014, she presented at Everything Legal Aid Conference organized by the Family Lawyers Association and Legal Aid Ontario.

She is a Consultant for Community Legal Education Ontario regarding family law materials and is Co-Chair of the Board of the Family Lawyers Association.
