Marlin Horst is a partner at Shibley Righton LLP. His practice involves all types of lending including syndicated, senior, subordinated, asset-based and project finance. Marlin also has experience in restructuring transactions acting on behalf of both creditors and debtors.

Marlin Horst is a partner at Shibley Righton LLP.  His practice involves all types of lending including syndicated, senior, subordinated, asset-based and project finance. Marlin also has experience in restructuring transactions acting on behalf of both creditors and debtors.

Marlin's lending experience includes lender transactions in the mining (acting for both borrowers and lenders on gold, copper, palladium, graphite and other metals in North and South America and the far east) manufacturing, hospitality, retail, energy and private equity industries.

Marlin has practised finance law in Toronto and in Bermuda. Marlin was an adjunct professor of Banking Law at the University of Western Ontario for over ten years. In addition, he is a sessional professor at Queen's University Law School where he teaches a course on the Personal Property Security Act.
