Pamela practices in the areas of taxation, estate, trust and business succession planning, and tax dispute resolution including voluntary disclosures of unpaid taxes. She advises charities , not-for-profit organizations, hospitals and other public institutions on a variety of Canadian tax issues. Pamela is on the Executive Committee of STEP Canada and is the Chair of STEP Canada's Tax Technical Committee.

Pamela is a Tax Partner with Borden Ladner Gervais LLP. Her practice encompasses taxation, estate and trust planning, tax dispute resolution and voluntary disclosures of unpaid taxes.  She regularly advices tax-exempt organizations (including charities, not-for-profit organizations and municipal corporations) on the tax implications of their transactions and activities. She also provides tax advice in connection with employee compensation matters and has a subspecialty in the taxation of pension and tax-exempt registered plans (RRSPs, RRIFs, TFSAs, RESPs and RDSPs).

Pamela has been qualified as an expert before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice and has provided expert testimony with respect to tax matters. Pamela is a frequent speaker on the areas of taxation law and trust and estates.

  • Represented corporate trustee in connection with post-mortem estate and corporate planning for a complex estate that is a shareholder in several corporations with both Canadian and foreign holdings
  • Negotiated favourable advance tax ruling in connection with establishment of provincially funded deferred compensation healthcare plan
