Sarah Firestone

Sarah Firestone is an associate in the litigation group at Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP. She has experience with domestic and international commercial arbitration, investment treaty arbitration and trade disputes, as well as risk management and crisis response, including internal and regulatory investigations, securities litigation, and enforcement issues. Sarah previously worked as a legal trainee in the International Arbitration Practice Group of a major global firm in Paris, was seconded to the Enforcement Branch of the Ontario Securities Commission, and completed a summer clerkship at the Ontario Superior Court of Justice.

Sarah Firestone is an associate in the Litigation group at Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP where she maintains a broad civil and commercial litigation practice. She has experience with domestic and international commercial arbitration, investment treaty arbitration and trade disputes, as well as risk management and crisis response, including internal and regulatory investigations, securities litigation, and enforcement issues. Active in the arbitration community, Sarah helped plan the 2020 Young Canadian Arbitration Practitioners (YCAP) Symposium and is coaching the 2020-2021 Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot Team at Osgoode Hall Law School.

Sarah previously worked as a legal trainee in the International Arbitration Practice group of a major global firm in Paris, was seconded to the Enforcement Branch of the Ontario Securities Commission, and completed a summer clerkship at the Ontario Superior Court of Justice.

Sarah received her J.D. from the University of Toronto where she was President of the Litigation Association, Senior Editor of the Law Review, and completed the Mergers & Acquisitions Litigation Externship. Sarah also obtained her M.Sc. from the University of Oxford in Global Governance and Diplomacy, B.A. (Hons.) from McGill University, and received a scholarship to complete the Certificate in Public International Law at The Hague Academy of International Law.

Prior to law school, Sarah held several positions in the field of international law in New York and Geneva.
