Stephanie is Associate General Counsel & Managing Director at BMO supporting the Corporate Banking, Global Trade and Banking businesses of BMO Capital Markets and managing a team of four senior lawyers.

Stephanie is Associate General Counsel & Managing Director at BMO supporting the Corporate Banking, Global Trade and Banking businesses of BMO Capital Markets and managing a team of four senior lawyers.

Previously, Stephanie was a partner in McMillan LLP's Financial Services Group. Stephanie’s practice focused on corporate finance and structured finance transactions, including domestic and cross-border debt financing, syndicated lending, asset-based lending, infrastructure finance and securitization. Stephanie also provided regulatory advice to domestic and foreign financial institutions carrying on business in Canada, including with respect to obligations that arise under anti–money laundering legislation.

She completed a secondment providing legal support to the equity derivatives group of a leading Canadian bank where she worked on a broad range of transactions involving Canadian public companies and investment funds.

Stephanie graduated from the J.D./M.B.A. joint program at Osgoode Hall and the Schulich School of Business where she completed a specialization in Financial Services and graduated on the Dean's List.

She is a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist ("CAMS").

Stephanie has been an instructor for the Integrative Legal Strategy course at the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto.

  • Counsel to Potentia Solar Inc. on its project financing of a 13 MW solar project in Ontario
  • Counsel to GE Capital Corporation as agent to a syndicate of lenders on an asset-based $135 million USD revolving credit facility and $15 million term loan facility provided to Golfsmith International Holdings, Inc. and Golf Town Canada Inc.
  • Represented a foreign bank in an application to OSFI for approval to establish a representative office in Canada
  • Counsel to JPMorgan Chase Bank, N.A. as agent to a Syndicate of lenders for the $400 million USD secured asset based credit facility provided to General Cable Industries Inc. and General Cable Company
  • Counsel to a telecommunications company in a secured credit facility with a Chinese lender
  • Counsel to the borrower of a $10 million term loan made under the Province of Ontario Strategic Jobs and Investment Fund
  • Counsel to GE Canada Finance Holding Company as agent to a syndicate of lenders on a $600 million secured credit facility provided to Air Canada
  • Represented RBC as agent to a syndicate of lenders on a $300 million secured credit facility provided to an equipment financier
