Stephanie Vaccari advises industry clients on a broad range of IP-related matters. She has extensive trademark-related experience, has assisted global clients with worldwide trademark portfolios, and represented them in opposition and cancellation proceedings. She has also participated in a variety of complex lawsuits dealing with, among others, trademark and copyright infringement, patent infringement and validity, internet issues, licensing issues, unfair competition and passing off.

She has also participated in a variety of complex lawsuits dealing with, among others, trade mark and copyright infringement, patent infringement and validity, internet issues, licensing issues, unfair competition and passing off.

Ms. Vaccari is the Managing Partner of Baker & McKenzie's Toronto Office and a member of the Firm's Intellectual Property Group. In addition to her management role and practice, Ms. Vaccari serves as co-chair of Baker & McKenzie's Toronto Women's Networking Group (where she has been recognized as a woman "who has made significant achievements advancing women and promoting gender equality" (International Women's Day, March 2012)) and is spearheading the Toronto office's Luxury and Fashion Group.

  • Acted on patent infringement and validity cases involving large generic and innovator pharmaceutical corporations
  • Acted on international arbitration between a US pharmaceutical company and a university involving a $30 million patent license dispute
  • Prior to joining Baker & McKenzie, Ms. Vaccari primarily represented pharmaceutical companies in a breadth of litigation
