Timothy's practice focuses on debt financing transactions, including secured lending and debt restructuring, as well as insolvency-related business transactions. He has represented a variety of insolvency professionals and secured creditors before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice on insolvencies and workouts. Timothy summered and articled at Aird & Berlis LLP before returning as an associate in 2017. He is currently on leave from the firm to work for Ontario's Ministry of the Attorney General.

He graduated with distinction from the University of Toronto in 2016

Before his legal career, Timothy was executive director of a well-known music festival. He also worked at a national foundation providing loans and grants to entrepreneurs.

Timothy summered and articled at Aird & Berlis LLP before returning as an associate in 2017. He is currently on leave from the firm to work for Ontario's Ministry of the Attorney General.

  • Acted for several provincial agencies in a number of investigative or regulatory receivership applications.
  • Acted for a provincial agency and for various Schedule 1 banks in connection with receivership applications.
  • Acted for a private mid-market lender in connection with a CCAA application.
  • Acted for a number of receivers, trustees, and monitors in receivership, bankruptcy and CCAA mandates.
  • Represented a group of trade creditors in responding to an oppression claim brought by a monitor in a CCAA action.
