Xi Chen is an associate in Cassels Brock & Blackwell LLP's Business Law Group. Xi's practice focuses on private and public mergers and acquisitions, internal reorganizations, private equity, venture capital, corporate finance and commercial transactions. Xi has experience working with both private and public companies in domestic and cross-border transactions. Xi also has experience advising clients on the incorporation and organization of their companies, drafting share and asset purchase agreements, shareholder agreements, and a variety of other corporate and commercial documents. Xi represents clients from a variety of industries including natural resources/mining, technology, hospitality, manufacturing and retail.
Prior to joining Cassels Brock as an associate, Xi articled at the firm and was also a first and second year summer student in 2013 and 2014 respectively. Xi is a graduate of the J.D. program from Osgoode Hall Law School. Prior to attending law school, Xi obtained her Honours Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from Western University. Her area of focus was on East Asian political and economic relations.
